For years my brother Joe has been wrestling with weight loss. With summer coming Joe wanted to get back into his speedo for the pool. Finally, he went to a weight loss doctor that encouraged him to go on an all-vegetable diet and check back with him in 5 weeks.
Joe went to the grocery store and purchased some lettuce and salad dressing and began his all-vegetable diet. Every day he was eating salads. He began to lose weight over the next few weeks, but he noticed that he was having stomach cramps and his asshole was itching. Five weeks later, Joe went back to see the Dr. for a follow-up visit. The Dr. noticed that Joe had definitely lost some weight and asked how he was feeling. Joe said well doc, I am happy that I have lost some weight but I am experiencing some stomach cramps and my asshole is itching. The doctor told him that stomach cramping is sometimes common when eating a lot of lettuce and then went to examine Joe’s asshole.
When examining Joe, the doctor said, well Joe, you have a piece of lettuce coming out of your ass. Joe replied, Doc, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
