Los Angeles RIA Summit

Alliance Portfolio sponsored the Los Angeles Registered Investment Advisor summit and dinner February 12 & 13th, 2025. The summit had to be postponed and rescheduled from January 13th due to the devastating fires in LA county. Attendance at the RIA Summit was probably down by 50% due to the fires, regardless, we made it a successful event as we enjoyed more time with specific Advisors that we were hoping to meet.

There were plenty of meaningful breakout sessions, including Investment amidst geopolitical uncertainty, Women in wealth management, and reflections on the M&A landscape. The best and most meaningful breakout for Alliance Portfolio was “Leveraging Alternative Investments”. Advisors are embracing three dimensional portfolios combining stocks, bonds, and alternative investments Including access to strategies like private equity real estate and private credit, such as Alliance Mortgage Fund and Trust Deed investments being more critical than ever with portfolio management. There was vibrant dialog around the topic of alternatives in portfolios, including accessing these strategies and enhancing client education on how to drive better outcomes with alternative investment strategies. Key speakers on this topic included Mike Chen, of First Foundation, investment strategist, alternative investments. And Cory Johnson CEO of Pender Capital.
